Salad Welsh Onion Green Seeds

Welsh Onion – Green – Allium fistulosum

This hardy perennial is the standard green variety, which grows to 35 cm tall. Welsh onions taste somewhere between the mild flavour of chives and stronger spring onions.

Sow outdoors in shallow drills, in spring or late summer, and thin to 20 cm spacing. Easy to grow, and use in the same way as chives. Can be harvested throughout the winter, does not need protection. Replace clumps every two or three years.
