Pea Petit Pois Provencal
This is a traditional variety of Petit Pois from France. It produces very sweet small peas, The plants grow to a height of 50cm. The pods are between 7cm and 9cm long, each containing up to 8 peas. The can be harvested from as soon as 55 days from sowing. Suitable for overwintering
How to Sow and Grow Petit Pois Peas
Make a drill about 12-15cm wide and 4-5cm deep, sow seeds 5cm apart throughout the drill, water and then fill in. Support as seedlings appear. Regular watering is essential once the plants are in flower and pod. As well as sowing direct, they can also be sown in old guttering in the greenhouse for hardening off, and planting out to get an earlier crop. It is ideal for successional crops and germinates at 5 – 25C.
