A new variety with a compact and very well-branched habit that can be grown in a large pot (35–40 cm diameter) and also in the soil. Masses of pendulous fruits, 8 cm in length, are produced over the season and can be harvested when green or red. Strongly pungent these chillies have a Scoville Heat Rating of around 100,000 and are perfect for use in many Southeast Asian recipes.
Sow seeds from February either in individual pots or seed trays. Keep at 20C when germination can take upto 28 days. Transplant when large enough to handle. And keep warm Plant up into larger containers, pinch out growing point when 15cm tall to create a busy plant. May need some staking.
